Lily Pad Cards Blog Hop!!!

 Hi everyone,

Welcome to stop #7 of the Lily Pad Cards blog hop (and your final stop for today)! You should be arriving here from the fabulous Kathy Racoosin's blog. If your arrival here did not involve hopping from lily pad to lily pad you'll want to start your hop at Lily Pad Cards blog. The blog hop starts today (Monday March 28th) and will feature seven blogs per day up until Friday, April 1, when the grand opening of Lily Pad Cards will take place! Lily Pad Cards is a new challenge blog that will feature interviews, articles, videos, challenges, great prizes, and more!

Although Lily Pad doesn’t officially bloom until April 1, 2011, you’ll be able to see a new sneak peek every day until then. You’ll definitely want to drop by because there are three HUGE prize packages! Go here for specific prize details and contest rules.

The hop’s theme is "Welcome" because not only are we welcoming Lily Pad Cards to the neighborhood, but we’re also welcoming all of you to come in and join in all the fun.

As one of Lily Pad Cards' digital die cut DT members, I wanted to use one of Vicky's die cut images for the blog hop. The ladybug image I used can be found here. Here’s my card.

The next stop on the hop will be sweet Sherri Thompson's blog tomorrow morning at 9 AM EST. If you hit a bad link, you can always go to Lily Pad Cards and click on the next link in the hop. Please report any bad links to webmaster@inlinkz.com.

Edited to add: In celebration of the beginning of Lily Pad Cards (and also reaching my 100th follower) I'm going to add a little giveaway. Leave a comment here before midnight Friday April 1st and you'll be in the running (or hopping as the case may be) to win this colourful collection:

Hero Arts Sea, Foliage, & Sunshine Print Flowers; Floral Ribbon; Red Blossom gems; Clear Design: Fancy Friendship

As always, thanks for stopping by. :)

Dino-mite!

Popping in to share a card using Jane's adorable Dino-mite Dinosaur image. He's just SO cute!!! I'm really having fun paper-piecing Jane's images. So fun and easy for us non-colouring types. ;)

Thanks for stopping by. If you don't hear from me again this week be sure to come by next Monday when I have a fun little announcement. ;)

Floral Birthday

Hi everyone,
Stopping by to share a card I made using another one of Jane's Doodles. For this card I used Jane's Pretty Poinsettia image. I re-sized it to 2 different sizes, cut out 3 of them, and colored them with distress inks. I used one of Jane's fabulous buttons for the middle flower, along with some yummy twine from the Twinery. Who says Poinsettia's just have to be for Christmas? ;)

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it. :)

Rejects!!

I'm joining in on Dr. Amber's 'Reject' blog hop from the latest Paper Crafts call (for their September/October issue). I submitted 6 cards and had 1 picked up. Funny thing is it was my last minute 'lets add one more' card and is probably the one I was the least satisfied with. I guess beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Anyways, I'll share a few of the 'rejects' here. All the cards I made were for the 'Creating with Canvas' call.

Here they are:

There are a couple more but I'm going to hold onto them for a bit and maybe resubmit them. ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Colorful Candles

Another card for Hero Arts March Birthday Challenge. For this one I used the Silhouette sketch pens with a couple of Hero Arts candles images. I made a row of candles by copying and pasting the images and ran it through the Silhouette with one of the colored sketch pens. I then moved the candles up and ran it through again with a different color. I repeated this until I had 5 rows of candles. I'm happy with how it turned out. :)

Okay. I better go make sure dinner isn't burning. Thanks for popping by!

Flower Tag card

Hi everyone,

Quick post before the kids wake up. ;)

It's been a while since I've shared a card using one of Jane's Doodles so I thought I'd do that today. The card I'm sharing uses Jane's Flower Tag digital stamp which can be purchased (along which some of her other images) through Squiggle Fly.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We have a family get together to go to but one of the kids has a bad cough so I might just have to stay home. :(

Masculine Birthday card

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to share a masculine card I made recently for the Hero Arts March 'Birthdays' challenge. This challenge was very timely for me as there are a LOT of March birthdays I have to make cards for. :)

Here it is:

All stamps are Hero Arts.
Thanks for looking!

Happy Mail Day!

Hi everyone,
It's been cloudy and yucky outside all day today... but sunny inside! :) The day started with some happy mail. The Paper Smooches stamp set I ordered 3 weeks ago FINALLY showed up. I really wanted it before Monday as I wanted to use one of the stamps for the recent Go To Sketches call by Paper Crafts but alas it wasn't here in time. Still, I'm really looking forward to using it.

This is the one I got and I can't wait to play with it! :)

The mailman also delivered a prize I won from Jillibean Soup during the CHA celebrations:

Yummy new 6x6 paper pads and file folders.

This afternoon I got some happy email from Paper Crafts. They selected some of my cards for the upcoming "Go To Sketches" special issue! I thought I'd share the 'rejects' here:

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my happiness. I've had a rough few weeks so today was nice. :)
