Simon Says Stamp Sporty or Patriotic Challenge

Hi everyone,

I'm back with another Simon Says Stamp Challenge!!!

Today's challenge is to make something with a sporty or patriotic theme and the design team was to use Cuttlebug products on our projects. Anyone who knows me knows that 'sporty' is never used in a sentence to describe me. Ha! I decided to go with the patriotic theme. ;)

Here's my card:

I love this Hero Arts 'It's a Parade' stamp. It seems so celebratory to me. I also used Hero Arts 'Single Starburst' stamp to create fireworks. Nothing says a patriotic holiday to me more than fireworks. I used Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots embossing folder on the pink background.

I hope you'll join us in this week's challenge! Up for grabs once again is a $50 gift voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store. For all the details and to see what the other designers have come up with go HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Giveaway winner and a card

Hi everyone,

I have a couple of things to share today. First a card I'm entering in the current Casual Fridays challenge. The challenge is to use acetate or vellum and I decided to make an acetate window which I then stamped with black Staz-on and coloured in with permanent markers. Sorry about the bad picture. It was cloudy day when I took it.

I'm also popping by to share the winner of the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit....

....and the winner as chosen by random org is  #22!

Krista Ritskes said...I'm getting in under the wire. I LOVE your cards, so sweet.

Simon Says Stamp's Anything BUT a Card Challenge

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my first post as a Simon Says Stamp Challenge Design Team member! :)

Boy was this first one ever a challenge for me! I am NOT a home decor paper crafter. My crafting tends to be very two dimensional. ;) I thought about what to make for quite a while and decided to turn to my trusty Silhouette library to see if anything there inspired me. I found this adorable strawberry and thought I'd make a basketful of berries. Then it dawned on me that I had spent a good part of last week making strawberry jam and I came up with this:

I had so much fun with with this week's challenge and can't wait to see what you all come up with. :) As always, the wonderful Heidi is giving away a $50 Simon Says Stamp gift voucher. I hope you'll play along with us this week!

And before I go I just wanted to let you know that a FABULOUS Blog Hop to celebrate the launch of the new Simon Says Stamp Exclusives Dies starts today !! You will need to hop over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog to join in the FUN !! There will be LOTS of fabulous prizes!! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today, however, I wanted to share another card I made using the Simon Says Stamp July Card Kit.

Here it is:

I thought I'd use some of the label stickers to highlight the embellishments that came with the kit.
It was a nice, quick card to put together. :) Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp's July Card Kit & a GIVEAWAY

Hi everyone,

I'm back today to share a couple of cards I made using the brand new Simon Says Stamp Card Kit (for July). This month's kit is just fabulous and features an incredible stamp set created by Kristina Werner. I LOVE her hand writing and think a future stamp set with all occasion messages would be totally awesome. *hint hint Heidi and Kristina* ;)

Anyways, here are the first 2 cards I've made with this kit. I really wanted to use one of the fun kraft envelops that came with the kit on a standard sized card so I cut it down in size and folded/adhered the bottom edge so I'd still have a pocket... I think it would be fun to write a personal note to the recipient (my hubby perhaps) about why they are so wonderfully special and include it in the envelope. :)

For the second card I took the left over bottom piece of the kraft envelop and finished up the top to make a new flap before sticking it on a 4.25" square card. Again, I think it would be fun to write a person message and put it in the envelope. (The black/white twine is from the June Card Kit).

Once again the wonderful Heidi of Simon Says Stamp has given me a kit to pass on! Whoot whoot! :)
Just leave a comment on this post by next Wednesday the 20th at mid-night and I'll pick a winner.

Also don't forget that I have a giveaway going on HERE that ends at the end of the month. All you have to do is follow me and leave a comment on that post. :)

As always, that's for popping by!
