Happy Easter!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pop in real quick today to wish you all a Happy Easter! My hope and prayer is that you know the greatness of God's love for you.

Luke 24:1-8

24 Now on the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood beside them in dazzling attire. The women were terribly frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has been raised! Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”

How I made this card: Make card from cardstock. Cover with lilac and poppy cardstock. Adhere ribbon and tie twine. Ink acrylic block with dye inks in order listed, mist with water and stamp onto watercolor paper. Let dry. Stamp flowers. Print sentiment. Stamp banner. Cut and adhere to panel. Distress panel edge and adhere to card with foam adhesive.

Simon Says Stamp Early Spring Release Blog Hop! ...including PRIZES!

Hi everyone!

I'm excited to be part of the Simon Says Stamp Early Spring Release Blog Hop today! Simon Says Stamp has just come out with some wonderfully unique and fun stamps and dies. With 14 designers and all of these great products, I can’t wait to see what everyone shares on today’s hop.

Here are the links to all the great new Simon Says Stamp exclusive products in the store:

Lots of eye candy, right? What are your favourites? I can't wait to play with the Perfect Bow Die and the Full Card Bubble Die. The Friendship Circles and Fit to be Square stamp/die sets are just TOO CUTE! I can't wait to get my hands on all these great products and start creating. Unfortunately, I think the staff of Canada Customs or Canada Post knew what was inside my package from Simon Says Stamp and they decided to play with everything before sending it all my way. ;) Fortunately, I do already have the Square Sayings stamp set and was able to come up with a couple of cards using it. Yay! :)

I'll be sure to show you more of what I make once my package shows up and I'm able to create some of the things I had planned for the hop. My daughter was hoping to be my model again for this hop and so I'll just have to take her up on that offer with one of my projects. ;)

And now for the giveaway part! Leave a comment on this blog post and one lucky winner from my blog will receive a Simon Says Stamp Goodie Bag! We will randomly draw a winner at 9:00 AM EST on Wednesday 4/3/13 so be sure to leave your comment by then. (And be sure to comment on each designer's blog for 14 chances to win)!

You should have arrived from the blog of the super talented Nichol Magouirk. The next stop in the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Spring 2013 Blog Hop is the amazing Lisa Spangler. If you encounter a broken link or to start at the beginning of the blog hop please go to the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Baby Shaker Card (Card Creations Vol. 11 Share)

Hi everyone,

Popping in real quick to share a card I have in Paper Crafts Card Creations Volume 11. I submitted this little number 3 times before it got some lovin' and I'm so happy it did. ;)

Instructions
1. Make card from cardstock.
2. Die cut ‘baby’ sentiment and adhere the negative space to a piece of acetate. With the panel facing down, line the sentiment’s edge with foam adhesive. Also add foam adhesive randomly around other areas of the panel back.
3. Die cut baby shapes and place within acetate window.
4. Adhere notecard to panel.
5. Tie ribbon bow.

Tips
1. If you don’t have a digital die cut machine you can still make a similar card with a manual machine by using large alpha and small shape dies.
2. If you don’t have any type of die cut machine you can get the same effect by tracing and cutting out the letters using a stencil. Use punches or store bought confetti for the small shapes.

Variations
Make a birthday-themed card with the word ‘birthday’, the person’s age, or name and fill it with related confetti.

Here's what I used to make the card:

Simon Says Stamp Spring/ Easter Challenge

Hi everyone,

Welcome back for another Simon Says Stamp Challenge!

This week's challenge is to make a Spring or Easter card and the design team is using products from Memory Box. Memory Box makes fabulous stamps and dies, and I'm amazed by how detailed many of their dies are.

I decided to go with the Spring theme for my card:

I used Butterfly Delights by Memory Box to cut a bunch of little butterfly confetti using various colors of Hero Arts layering paper. I then die cut 2 vellum tags, glued a few flying butterflies to the back piece, laid the rest on top of the bottom area of that same piece, and sewed the top tag to it. I think the rest is pretty self explanatory but feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Here's my full supply list:

I hope you'll join us in this week's challenge! Up for grabs is a $50 gift voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store thanks to sweet Heidi! For all the details and to see what the other designers have come up with please go HERE.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Paper Crafts Card Creations Vol. 11 Blog Hop!

The designers in the blog hop were asked to use one of the downloadable sentiments from in the Card Creations Vol. 11 issue. I chose to use this telephone/ hello download:
