My Impressions Garage Sale!!!

I've got a few items to list for a little garage sale here. I'm trying to clear some things out of my craft room...so.... Here goes!

If there's something not listed here that you think I might happen to have that you're interested in send me an email via the sidebar... I may be willing to part with other goodies. 

Stamps may have some staining (you can see it with some of the clear stamps). If you want back pictures of any of the cling stamps let me know.

Hero Hostess Summer Picnic Blog Hop! (& GIVEAWAY)!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Hero Hostess Summer Picnic Blog Hop! If you've been following along you should be arriving from the super talented Emily Leiphart's blog. Here's my summertime card using a Hero Arts watermelon stamp, Hero Arts background stamp, and a computer-generated sentiment:

Supplies:


Can I tell you a secret? I don't like watermelon! Shh... but my kids do and they ask for it throughout the year. I always tell them it's a summertime treat that has to be eaten outside. ;)

Since we're having a picnic I thought I'd share a recipe for a salad I DO like very much:

Quinoa Salsa Salad (Makes 6-8 servings.)

Dressing:
3 tbsp salsa
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp cider vinegar
2 tsp chili powder
salt and pepper to taste

Mix dressing ingredients together and set aside for at least one hour.

Salad
1 cup cooked quinoa
1 cup cooked wild rice (or brown or white)
1/ cup rinsed, drained canned black beans
1/2 cup rinsed, drained canned red kidney beans
1/2 frozen corn kernels thawed
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped red onion
2 tbsp snipped fresh cilantro

Mix salad ingredients together. Pour dressing over salad and toss well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at 4 hours or overnight to allow flavours to develop and blend.

Paper Crafts 2013 Stamping Royalty Blog Hop! (& GIVEAWAY)!

Welcome back! Today I'm here to share a card for the Paper Crafts Stamping Royalty 2013 Blog Hop! (You should be arriving from the talented Alicia Thelin's blog.)

First of all, a big thank you to Paper Crafts for picking one of my cards for Stamping Royalty! I'm truly honoured! The card that won me a place in Paper Crafts Stamping Royalty is in the Season's Greeting category but the card I made for today is in the Hello/Thinking of You category.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Tri-Circle Die repeatedly to create my background of circles and then used the coordinating Circle Friends Stamp Set for the sentiment, bear, and patterned circles.
