Altered Full Card Dies and Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit Winner

Hi everyone,

I'm back today to announce the winner of the Simon Says Stamp May 2014 Card Kit and also to share a couple of cards I made using the recent Mothers and Fathers release from Simon Says Stamp.

Now for today's cards I used these 2 dies from Simon Says Stamp:




These dies are great as is but also lend themselves well to being altered. For my cards today I focused on the largest words in the dies, the 'DAD' and 'MOM', cutting them out to be used on their own.

For the second card I used one of the O's and M's from the Mom die as well as the A from the Dad die to spell Oma (which is dutch for Grandma and what my kids call my Mom). :)



I can't wait to play around with these dies some more to see what else I can come up with.

Dudette Card (using the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit)

Hi everyone,

 I hope you had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ! I'm so grateful to God for all that He has done for me. 

 Today, I've got one more card to share using the Simon Says Stamp May 2014 Card Kit: Play! 



Even though this month's kit is geared towards boys and I've been able to make some fun cards for my sons, I didn't want my daughter to feel left out. 

Here's what I made for her by altering the 'dude' stamp:


After stamping the shoes, I stamped 'dude' to the one side of the card and hand wrote the 2 t's before stamping just the e again. I then colored everything with alcohol markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents. The top picture doesn't show the shine or sparkle at all so here are a couple of close ups....

Simon Says Stamp May 2014 Card Kit - You're a Winner!

Hi everyone!


I'm popping by today to share another card using the super fun Simon Says Stamp May 2014 Card Kit: Play and to announce the winner of these fun Simon Says Stamp goodies from my Facebook Page giveaway:



Here's today's card, which just happens to fit in with the 'winner' announcement. ;)



I used the Simon Says Stamp Stars and Dots Stencil with the new Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and Mini Peacock Distress Ink to create my star background before diecutting it and stamping the sentiment. This was my first time using the Mini Round Ink Blending Tool and I absolutely loved it. It worked so smoothly, got into all the tight corners, and I'll definitely be ordering more. :) I stamped the game remote, colored it in, cut it out, and added Glossy Accents to make it shine. I then adhered it to my stenciled panel using foam tape.
