Simon Says Stamp July 2015 Card Kit Reveal (& GIVEAWAY)!

Hi everyone!

Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp July 2015 Card Kit: Sail Away With Me! This month's kit will make you want to go sailing... or at the very least to take a trip to the beach. ;)

Here it is:

Isn't the new Simon Says Stamp Sailing Stamp Set adorable? I'm also liking the Maya Road Anchor Clips, Tim Holtz Ideaology Souvenir Adornments, and Simon Says Stamp Sailboat Die that are included in the kit. I'm looking forward to trying to create some sailing-themed cards later in the week but for today's card I took the waves border stamp and created a patterned background.

My MISTI came in SO handy for this as I never would have been able to get eveything lined up on my own. I stamped the waves from Simon's new Sailing Stamp Set with Versafine Black Oynx Pigment Ink and after they were all stamped I clear heat embossed them. I then coloured them in using a rainbow of Copic Marker colours. I also heat embossed the largest cloud from the stamp set, cut it out, and stamped the sentiment on it. I wrapped a piece of the May Arts Natural Twine around the cloud and finished it off with a metal star from the Tim Holtz Ideaology Travel Adornments before adhering it with some foam adhesive.

Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks Stamp Set

Hi everyone,

I'm back today to share a couple more cards I made using the fabulous new Simon Says Stamp The Color of Fun release. Today I'll be using Simon's new Many Thanks Stamp Set. If you missed yesterday's post where I focused on Simon's new Rollin Roller Coaster Die you can find it HERE.

Both of today's cards were quick and easy to make thanks to the wonderful Many Thanks Stamp Set designed by the amazingly talented Dawn Woleslagle of WPlus9. This first card uses the flowers as flowers...

...and the second card uses the flowers simply as circular elements on the card. For this card, I used ALL 12 of Simon's new ink colors so you can get a better idea of what they all look like.

Simon Says Stamp The Color of Fun Release!!!

Hi everyone!

colorfun

Today is release day for Simon Says Stamp's The Color of Fun product line! I have to say, this one might be my favourite yet!

Here it is:

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards and will (hopefully) be back tomorrow to share a couple more.

For today's cards I focused on using Simon's new Rockin' Roller Coaster Die and my next post will focus on the new Many Thanks Stamp Set.

For my first card I used the Rockin' Roller Coaster Die as it was intended to be used. First I created my background using Simon's new Wisteria, Hollyhock, and Duckling inks with Ranger's Round Ink Blending Tools. I used Simon's new Firework Bursts Dies on the background and added some sparkle with Ranger's Stardust Stickles. I die cut the Rockin' Roller Coaster Die from grey cardstock and found I got the best cut using a shim of cardstock below my cutting plates. (It made all the little pieces come out more easily). I adhered the rollercoaster to my inked up panel using Ranger's Multi Medium Matte and the cars with foam adhesive. I then added some sparkle to the cars with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. The sentiment is from Simon's new Cone Building Stamp Set.

For my second card, I die cut just the bottom of the rollercoaster structure into strips of Neenah White Cardstock that I had inked up with a number of Simon's new dye inks (Hollyhock, Melon, Duckling, Jellybean, Spring Rain, Blue Jay, and Wisteria). I then adhered the pieces to my card front. I die cut Simon's new Sketch Star Die from both white and black cardstock, adhering the black outline to the full white star. I stamped my sentiment created from Simon's new Grunge Alphabet Stamp Set, and adhered the star to my card with foam adhesive. I then added Glossy Accents over the black star outline and finished things off with various enamel dots.
