Hi everyone! Are you ready for Spring? I know I am! I can't wait to hear the birds sing and watch the flowers begin to grow. This month’s card kit, Friendship Flowers, will definitely make you think of Spring! I was so excited when I saw this month's kit with all the happy colours and am thrilled to be part of this blog hop. You should be arriving from the super sweet and talented Kelly Rasmussen's blog.
I decided to focus on the paper straws that came in the kit for my blog hop projects, making a fun pinwheel and sweet necklace for my daughter.
Everything but the brad to hold the
pinwheel together, the string for the necklace, and the adhesive are
from the March 2013 Card Kit. To make the necklace I cut the yellow and
green straws into various sized pieces and made holes in them with a
pin so I could put string through them. I also took some of the
patterned paper form the kit and made rolled beads which I covered with
Glossy Accents to strengthen them and make them shiny. Once they were dry I put it all together. I think the pinwheel is self-explanatory but feel free to email me if you have any questions.
