Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit and GIVEAWAY!!!

This month's kit is another wonderful technique-based one...with Ranger's Perfect Pearls taking center stage! The kit includes Ranger's Grape Fizz Perfect Pearls, a Perfect Pearls Brush, and a Mini-Mister. Oh, and Simon's White Pigment Ink (also in the kit) will hold the Perfect Pearls in place beautifully as seen in this card:

As I mentioned above, I stamped the 'thanks snow much' sentiment using Simon's White Pigment Ink. (I LOVE the handwritten font used in this month's stamp set!) I then added some of the Grape Fizz Perfect Pearls and gently brushed away the extra with the Perfect Pearls Brush. I then set it by spritzing some water in the air and waving the cardstock through it. I'm not sure if I really needed to do this step since I used pigment ink but I figured it couldn't hurt.I die cut my top panel from some paper from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Altitude Paper Pad using Simon's new Stitched Circles Dies as well as the frame from their Bundle of Stitches die set. I then adhered part of a Hero Arts Acetate Card to the back of my circular window, followed by foam adhesive along the edges and on other areas of the back of the patterned paper. Before I added some of the little snowflakes from the Bo Bunny Altitude Die Cuts inside my window to create my shaker element, I went over the acetate with my powder tool to help keep the snowflakes from sticking to it. Once I had everything put together I added a few more of the snowflakes to the outside of my card.
