Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Reason to Smile Blog Hop! You should be arriving from the super talented Suzy Plantamura's blog.
In case you missed it, here is the entire fabulous new release including stamps, dies, Suzy's prints, embossing powders, stitch-able dies, and FELT:
Here are the cards I created for today's hop:
For this first card, I painted a sunset scene on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock with Gansai Watercolors, let it dry, and stamped a couple of clouds from Simon's new Cloudy Sky Stamps with Simon's White Pigment Ink. I then die cut a few clouds from Simon's coordinating Clouds Dies, inked up the bottoms with a couple of Simon's inks, and gave them some 'silver lining' via a Sakura Stardust Clear Glitter Pen. I adhered the watercolored panel to a notecard made from Neenah Solar White Cardstock, added a strip of patterned paper, and a thin strip of Darice Grey Sparkle Tape. The sentiment was white heat embossing on Simon's Black Cardstock and the clouds were adhered with Foam Tape.
For my second card, I white heat embossed the flowers and leaves from Simon's Spring Flowers Stamp Set on a piece of Ranger Watercolor Paper before loosely painting them with my Gansai Watercolors. I flicked some of the colour onto the panel with a paint brush and once dried I die cut
it with the rectangle from Simon's Bundle of Stitches Dies. I adhered the panel to a piece of Simon's Doll Pink Cardstock before adhering it to my notecard. I die cut Simon's Prayers Die, inked it up with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed it with Simon's beautiful new Rose Gold Ultrafine Embossing Powder before adding it to my card.
Supplies:
Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a Simon Goody Bag worth about $50 on every stop of the hop! Winners will be drawn this coming Tuesday, February 23rd and will be contacted by Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is the fabulous Yana Smakula's blog.
