Sorry I've been missing in action. It's been a busy few weeks getting school mostly finished up, taking kids to work, VBS, etc, etc. Also, my Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit: Party Like a Panda took it's time crossing the border this time and when it showed up it had last month's stamp set in it, lol. The correct one is on its way to me (because Simon is awesome like that) but I've gone ahead and created my cards to share without it.
I'm sure you've all seen the fun panda-themed SSS August Card Kit by now. I love the adorable panda stamps and die and the bright, vibrant colours of the exclusive Doodlebug Pattern Papers and Simon Cardstock.
I cut a piece of the Doodlebug patterned paper to fit the background of my card. I then created a frame with Simon's Stitched Rectangle Dies and their 120 LB Cardstock before cutting the balloon paper to fit behind it. I adhered these to my card front with foam tape. Next, I diecut Simon's Picture Book Panda from the Thermo Web Black Velvet and White Latte Flock Flock Transfer Sheets, piecing him together in the frame. I added a patterned paper party hat with a sequin top to his cute little head. Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Birthday Stamp Set (sold seperately) with Versafine Onyx Black Ink on a banner I made with a piece of the Doodlebug patterned paper, adhering the middle part with foam tape.
