Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hi everyone!

Happy World Card Making Day!!! I hope you all have a chance to get crafty today! :) I've pre-scheduling this post as I'm in Cincinnati this weekend getting crafty with some of the most talented card makers ever! I'll be sure to post about it once I'm back home. :) Before I go here's a card I made recently for a Paper Crafts call that wasn't picked up. Not sure if you can see it in the picture but I added some Frosted Lace Stickles to the candle flames.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend...whether it includes pretty papers & stamps or not. :)

First Post!!!

Yikes! Can't believe I'm really joining the blog world. We'll see how this goes. :)

I thought I'd start my first post with the current Caardvarks challenge sponsored by Core'dination Cardstock. The challenge is to create a monochromatic project and the winner gets a 3 month designing gig with Core'dination! Wow!!! I decided to use some of the yummy Core'dination cardstock my Mom gave me for my Birthday/Christmas last year. So fun to work with!

Anyways, here are the cards I made for the challenge:

For this first card I sanded Cool Mint Truffle Core Color Core'dination cardstock BEFORE stamping on it, distressed the edges of the circles, and scored the edges of the card.

On the second card I used Barn Siding Whitewash Core'dination cardstock facing both directions in the Cuttlebug stylized flowers embossing folder so that I could sand the background in the main panel and the focal points in the side panels.

In my final card I used layers of torn Jelly Cupboard Whitewash Core'dination cardstock.

Stamps: Hero Arts. Ink:Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Cardstock: Core'dination
Thanks for stopping by! I still have LOTS to figure out with blogging... adding blinkies, making my pictures bigger, etc. I'm techie challenged. :)
