Pin-spiration Week #2

Hi everyone,

I'm back today to share another card inspired by something I found on Pinterest. In case you missed my post last week I'm going to try and make this a weekly feature over here on Tuesdays. :)

Here's what inspired me for this week's card:

I love the bold colors, geometric shapes, and the white space. I was also drawn the the pieces hanging
over the edges.

Here's what I came up with inspired by the middle piece in particular. I'm not going to lie...it took a good
few hours to come up with something I was happy with:

I backed the front piece with acetate so I could put some foam adhesive between it and the black/white
patterned paper.

Hi everyone!

Today I'm stopping by to share a little something I'm hoping to make a regular part of my blog. We'll see how it goes. ;) I've been finding my creative juices to be lacking the past few months and I'm hoping this little feature of mine will help me with that. Maybe it will inspire you too? :) My plan is to share a new card each week (hopefully on Tuesdays) based on a something I find on Pinterest.

Here's what inspired me this week (click picture to see pin):

I seem to be drawn to gray paired with a single colour and the chevrons made me think of the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Chevron die.

Here's my card:

I colored the chevron pieces using Hero Arts dye inks and an alcohol marker (for the lightest grey).
