Welcome back! Today is release day for the Simon Says Stamp February 2014 Card Kit!
A great kit as always! My favourite part has got to be this fabulous stamp set! Just beautiful! I thought I'd share two cards today to kick things off and my first card uses just the stamp set, some of the navy cardstock, and a touch of the Blank Canvas Studio Paint from the kit (along with ink, pencil crayons, and some clear Wink of Stella):
*** I've had a few questions asking for details on how I made this card and thought I'd come back and answer them. Everything here was stamped in white pigment ink. Once dried, I went over certain areas with pencil crayons and a Wink of Stella clear glitter marker. Using white pigment ink first is a great way to get color to show up well on dark cardstock.***
In contract, my second card uses (almost) everything BUT the stamp set. I've used the cardstock, patterned paper, label, Blank Canvas paint, and ribbon. The only other thing missing is the chipboard arrows. I just love how well the paint comes out so easily to create perfect little circles, making for some quick and easy embellishing. :)
Supplies:
I'll be back later in the week to share some more cards using the Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit. For you chance to win this card kit for yourself (thanks to sweet Heidi of Simon Says Stamp) just comment on any or all of my card kit posts and I'll announce a winner next week Monday, January 20th.
Thanks for stopping by!
Sarah
