Simon Says Stamp August 2015 Card Kit Reveal (& GIVEAWAY!)

Hi everyone!

Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp August 2015 Card Kit: Summer Sunshine and it is another fun one!

I love the fresh orange-red-teal colour combination this month, the sweet October Afternoon Summertime Pillow Puffs Stickers, and the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Die. The Simple Stories Summer Vibes Papers are fun for the summer and the Sakura Jelly Roll Pen is perfect for adding a little shine. This month's kit also includes a Simon Says Stamp Clear Storage Pocket, a custom bottle of Martha Stewart 'Fairy Tale' connfetti mix, and a pack of Best Creations Foam Adhesive. These elements are perfect for creating shaker cards...which is just what I did for today's card! (Sorry the pictures aren't better. It was hard to photograph without getting a glare).

The Simon Says Stamp Storage Pocket is the perfect width for a 5 1/2" wide card. I just cut the top down to 4 1/4" high. I put the fish and yellow star stickers inside the pocket to create a little scene, brushed inside the pocket with my EK Success Powder Tool to help prevent static, and added some of the Martha Stewart Fairy Tale confetti mix. I then sewed the top shut with a piece of the Simple Stories Summer Vibes Paper behind it in order to seal the pocket and create the back of my card. I added a strip of patterned paper to the top of my card front to hide the stitching, as well as a little hand cut 'hello' sentiment from one of the papers. Finally, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents air bubbles to the front of card. My plan is to write my message on the back of the card so you don't see my writing through the fish tank.
