Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit: Hello Cards (and Giveaway)! and Simon's New SPLASH of COLOR RELEASE

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a couple of cards to share using the fun new Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit: Summer Sunshine.

Both of the cards I'm sharing today feature the HELLO sentiment from the new Flip Flop Season Stamp Set that comes in the card kit.

For my first card, I paired the HELLO stamp with the Simon Says Stamp Sunshine Die. I stamped the HELLO with Versafine Smokey Gray Ink onto some of the Simple Stories patterned paper and coloured it in with the Sakura Jelly Roll Pen. I then diecut the sunshine sentiment from the gorgeous My Mind's Eye Carrot Stick Shimmer Cardstock three times and stacked them to provide a little dimension. I added a strip of the hello patterned paper as well as stamped the triangle border stamp from this month's stamp set. I coloured in the open triangles with the Jelly Roll Pen as well. The card base is Simon's Smoke Cardstock.

For my second card, I stamped the HELLO sentiment onto some of the patterned paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, cut out each of the letters, and adhered them to a piece of Simon's Smoke Cardstock. I added the 'happy' and flower stickers, matted the panel to a piece of patterned paper, and adhered it on an angle to a piece of My Mind's Eye Tropical Bay Shimmer Cardstock. You can better see the shimmer of this gorgeous cradstock on the second picture below.
