Hi everyone,
Stopping by to share a card I made for Paper Crafts September/October 2011 issue. I made a bunch of cards for this call to use fabric and this was my last minute attempt (and my least favourite of the bunch) but the one that got picked up. Funny how that happens. :)
This one is extra exciting for me as it's my first card accepted in Paper Crafts 'regular' magazine as opposed to a special issue. More exposure, yes? ;)
Anyways, here's the card:
I used canvas to cover the entire card front and also for the flower and leaves. For full instructions check out the September/ October 2011 issue of Paper Crafts. TONS of great projects in here!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Paper Craft's "Stamp It!"
Hi everyone,
Canada Post is FINALLY back up and running. Yay! Got some things OUT in the mail yesterday and also a cheque IN the mail. A good day! :)
I also ran some other errands... went to the grocery store and saw that the new 'Stamp It!' is out. I have 4 cards in this special issue and I got to visit each of them. ;) Can't wait for my copy to come in the mail so I can pour over all 300 amazing cards in there!
I thought I'd share one of my cards here:
Thanks for popping by! I'm busy working on things for my son's 7th birthday party this Saturday. We're doing a space/alien theme and having lots of fun getting ready for it. :) Hope you have a wonderful day!

Wedding Cake
Hi everyone,
Popping in to share a Jane's Doodle card I made yesterday. I used the birthday cake from the Jane's Bakery set, cut the candle off and turned it into a wedding cake.
Jane's been sweet enough to let us pick a couple of winners of her digi images each month. So leave me a comment by Saturday and I'll pick a winner to receive this fabulous set from Jane.
Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Birthday
Hi everyone,
Stopping by to share a card I made using another one of Jane's Doodles. For this card I used Jane's Pretty Poinsettia image. I re-sized it to 2 different sizes, cut out 3 of them, and colored them with distress inks. I used one of Jane's fabulous buttons for the middle flower, along with some yummy twine from the Twinery. Who says Poinsettia's just have to be for Christmas? ;)
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate it. :)

Flower Tag card
Hi everyone,
Quick post before the kids wake up. ;)
It's been a while since I've shared a card using one of Jane's Doodles so I thought I'd do that today. The card I'm sharing uses Jane's Flower Tag digital stamp which can be purchased (along which some of her other images) through Squiggle Fly.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We have a family get together to go to but one of the kids has a bad cough so I might just have to stay home. :(

Wee Memories Challenge #43
Hi everyone,
Welcome to another Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge! This week's challenge is "Live, Laugh, Love!" and is sponsored by Penny Black.
Up for grabs are some wonderful Penny Black wood and clear stamps and there will be TWO winners of this week's challenge!!! Be sure to have your entries in by Friday February 18, 2011 @ 11:59 pm PST. :)
For my card I went with the 'love' theme and made a card using this adorable Love Rocket digi stamp from Jane's Doodle's.
I'm experimenting with different techniques with the digi stamps. Last time I used paper piecing and this time I pulled out my pencil crayons. Gotta work on my coloring skills. ;) I used glossy accents on the windows and glittery embossing powder with Hero Arts Starry Sky stamp. The sentiment is computer generated and is from the book "Guess How Much I Love You" by Sam McBratney.
Thanks for popping by and I hope you'll take part in this week's challenge!

Exciting News!
Hi everyone!
I've got some exciting news to share today! I'm part of the Jane's Doodles Design Team! Jane creates the cutest images EVER! You can find them at her online shop here. She also has an Etsy store where she sells her fabulous buttons, other embellishes, and some of her images turned into tradition stamps.
Shh, don't tell Jane but I have a confession to make. ;) I had NEVER used a digital image before applying for this position. (Okay, maybe once). :) Truthfully, digital images kind of intimidate me. I'm not a techie at all and am not a color-er. So what am I doing here? Jane's images are just too cute and I love the fact that she doesn't go overboard with detail (allowing for paper piecing with ease). I was willing to go out of my comfort zone in order to have a chance to play with Jane's wonderful doodles and I'm glad I did!
Here's my card for today. I used Jane's beautiful Polyanthus Flower, printed it on kraft paper as well as some Basic Grey pattern paper. I cut the image out of the patterned papers and adhered it to the kraft paper. I used pencil crayons to color in the stems, and added Stickles and gems to the flowers. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I'm planning on giving this card to my grandmother who will be turning 80 in a few weeks!
I just want to say a great big thank you to Jane for allowing me to join her team and trusting in me without having seen me use anything digital before. ;) I'm so looking forward to being a part of your team for the next number of months! Thank you!
