SSS Our Redeemer Lives & May Card Kit Winner

Hi everyone!

I wanted to stop in today to wish you all a Happy Easter! My prayer today is that you all know just how great God's love for you is and that you recognize your need for Him. God is good!

I thought I'd share this Easter card today featuring a few products from Simon Says Stamp and also announce the winner of the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit.

I decided to pair Simon's Outline Floral Cross Die with their Outline Floral Frame Die diecutting both from Simon's Audrey Blue Cardstock, and the cross again from Neenah White Cardstock. The two dies fit almost perfectly together. The only adjustments I had to make were removing a circle from the right side of the cross and one small branch from the frame in same area. I adhered the pieces with Gina K Connect Glue to some Simon Says Stamp Peacock Cardstock covering an A2 notecard made from Neenah White Cardstock. The sentiment, from Simon's Tin,y Words Faith Stamp Set, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Dye Ink. Finally, I filled in flower centers, berries, and circles with white jewels and sequins from Little Things by Lucy's Cards.

Finally, the winner of the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit (as picked by my son recovering from wisdom teeth surgery) is...

Fab idea to stamp an image over two layers and love seeing a sentiment on its side instead of the usual!!

SSS May Card Kit: So Happy For You, GIVEAWAY, & Limited Edition Mother's Day Card Kit!

Hi everyone!

I'm stopping by today to share a final card featuring the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit. I thought I'd put the Alcohol Inks away for this one and focus on one of the beautiful floral images and papers from the May Card Kit.

I did a little spotlight stamping, using the floral image with Simon's Green Apple Dye Ink on their Green Leaf Cardstock which had been diecut with the rectangle from their Bundle of Stitches Die Set. I stamped the same image again with Simon's Rosie Cheeks Dye Ink on their Cotton Candy Cardstock which I had diecut with one of Simon's Large Tag Dies. I adhered the green panel to my notecard, added a few strips of the ModaScrap Let Your Soul Bloom Patterned Paper, and adhered the tag with foam tape (making sure to line up my two stamped images). Finally, I diecut one of the CZ Simple Tabs Dies from a piece of the ModaScrap Let Your Soul Bloom Patterned Paper and stamped a sentiment from the Delicate Flowers Stamp Set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink before adding it to my card.

SSS May Card Kit: Love and Thanks & GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone!

I'm back to share a couple more cards featuring the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit

For today's cards I wanted to focus on creating Alcohol Pearl Ink backgrounds using both the White Yupo Paper and Tim Holtz Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink Paper. For this first card I used the Tranquil and Sublime Alcohol Inks on the White Yupo Paper. Once dry, I diecut the paper with the rectangle from Simon's Bundle of Stitches Set and adhered it to a notecard made from Simon's 120 lb White Cardstock. I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Delicate Fowers Stamp Set on a strip of Simon's Green Leaf Cardstock and added it to the card above a piece of the Carta Bella Flower Bouquet Washi Tape. I finished the card off with a few diecut hearts from Simon's Holiday Shapes Die Set

I used the same techniques for my second card but with the Tim Holtz Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink Paper, Intrigue and Tranquil Alcohol Pearl Inks, and Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock.

Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit Reveal & Giveaway

Hi everyone!

Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit and it is a beauty! Here it is:

Isn't it lovely?! For the card I'm sharing today I decided to pair the gorgeous Alcohol Pearl Inks with the beautiful new flowers from the Delicate Flowers Stamp Set.

I added the Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution to a piece of the white Yupo Paper and moved the ink around with my Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer Tool. After letting it get good and dry I went over it with my Powder Tool before white heat embossing numberous floral images from the Delicate Flowers Stamp Set. The key to heat embossing with the Yupo Paper is to keep the heat gun moving and not let the paper get too hot or it will warp (ask me how I know). I then die cut this panel with one of Simon's Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also diecut a piece of the Tim Holtz Silver Alcohol Ink Cardstock with the Stitched Rectangle that is the next size up. I adhered the silver piece to a notecard covered with Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock, added foam tape to the back of my stamped panel, and adhered it in place. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a a piece of the ModaScrap Let Your Soul Bloom Pattered Paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and adhered the sentiment strip to my card.

SSS Blossoms and Butterflies Release

Hi everyone!

I'm stopping by today to share the the brand new Blossoms and Butterflies Release by Simon Says Stamp and a pair of cards I made with some of the beautiful new stamps.

Here's the full new release (Affiliate links earn me a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your support):

Here are the cards I'm sharing today:

For today's cards I used Simon's new Outline Butterflies Background Stamp and Comfort and Prayers Stamp Set. I stamped the background image on a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Neenah White Cardstock with Gina K Jet Black Amalgam Ink. I was so impressed with this ink and how well it stamped the first time compared to inks I've used in the past. I coloured the panel with Copic Markers before cutting it to use for two cards. I made two card bases with Neenah White Cardstock, covering them Simon's Lavender Cardstock. I added strips of Simon's Blue Violet Cardstock beside my coloured images before adhering them to my card fronts. For my first card I stamped the sentiment from the Comfort and Prayers Stamp Set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and for the second card I white heat embossed a sentiment on Simon's Black Cardstock before adding it to the card. I finished both cards off with sequins from Lucy's Cards.

Supplies:

That's it for me today. I hope you enjoy Simon's new Blossoms and Butterflies Release as much as I do!

SSS Please Join Us Watercoloured Invitations

Hi everyone!

I'm popping by to share a set of 15 invitations I made recently for my mother-in-law. When making large sets like this I like to keep the design fairly simple and also flat (but interesting) knowing they'll be going in the mail.

I started with 5.5" x 4.25" pieces of Strathmore Watercolour Paper and painted each one with various blues and greens. Once dry, I diecut each with one of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectange Dies and adhered them to notecards made from Neenah 110 lb White Cardstock. I white heat embossed the sentiments from Simon's Make An Invitation Stamp Set (unfortunately now retired) on Simon's Black Cardstock. Finally, I white heat embossed some circles from Simon's Blooming Hope Stamp Set to act as embellishments, adding interest without bulk.

Here's a closer look at each card:

The winner is...

I don't have a lot of extra time to make cards these days amd this is such a good idea. I need to go through my stash and look for premade elements. Super cute cards!
