Happiest of Birthdays & GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone,

I'm still waiting for my Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit to arrive. I'm not sure what happened to it or if it will show up at all. Stick with me to the end of this post. I'm going to do my Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit giveaway today regardless. :)

Unfortunately I've also had a bad case of "the Februarys" and feel like I've been treading water all month. Some of my commitments will be ending in the next few weeks and I'm hoping that will help. Anyways, I thought I'd pop in and share a summery floral card as I watch it snowing outside.

I stamped a piece of Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock with Cotton Candy Ink using their Deco Diamonds Background Stamp. I matted this with some of Simon's Black Cardstock and added it to a notecard made from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. I stamped the floral images from Simon's Sketched Flowers Stamp Set with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and coloured them with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them with Fiskar's Micro Tip Scissors. After adding my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink I adhered the flowers, popping up the blue flower with foam tape. I finished the card off with some Nuvo Drops.

Oh yes, February blues. I was ill the first two weeks with flu and don't feel I have caught up with myself yet. Hope March will be a new kickstart. Love your card. That background stamp is gorgeous. Love the March kit. The llama is so cute. Hope yours arrives soon. Hugz

I will be glad to see this dreary, rainy, cold month come to an end and hope for sunnier days to come. I think we've had about 3-4 days of partial sun all month and I am done.with.it! Your pretty floral card was just the thing to brighten my day, thank you.

Isn't it frustrating when parcels don't arrive?! I hope it will turn up in the end. Love your tone on tone background with those happy flowers on top. We've had a lot of rain her in Crete, Greece. There has even been some flooding on the west side of the island. Although we did need a lot of water to prevent any shortages this summer, I'm ready for spring now.

Doesn't it drive you had when the postal service rate your parcels up, I'm sure some where there's a box with all these things in from per goes pulls to craft lots . Here's to it turning up at some point x Totally understand the February effect, got it partially. But if that fabulous card is your February effect then we can swop the symptoms with each other. Beautiful use of background design & modern funky flower, great colours, bring on the sunshine. Thank you for sharing, inspiring & brightening my day x

Beautiful card, Sarah! Love that flower! I think we all get the winter blahs right about now, with the snow and ice, cold weather, drab landscapes. Your card is a breath of fresh air, and a harbinger of brighter days to come!

Since I just won a kit I'd like to nominate my friend Coni (she lives in California) just incase my name gets picked again. Such a sweet card, love the geometric background and totally reminds me to use my Nuvo Drops!!

February may be the shortest month but it seems like a long gray one. The SS March kit is fantastic and you showed it off well with that background and colors!

Very pretty card. I love the simplicity of it. I can’t wait till spring & this cold winter is behind us. The only thing cold weather is good for is to stay indoors & Craft.
