Embossing Powder and then heat embossed some die cut Simon Says Stamp flowers to match.
Here's my supply list:
I hope you'll join us in this week's challenge! Up for grabs is a $50 gift voucher for the Simon Says Stamp store thanks to sweet Heidi! For all the details and to see what the other designers have come up with please go HERE.

Before I go I thought I'd also share a card I made for a recent Paper Crafts call that didn't make the cut.
I clear heat embossed Hero Arts' Flower Table Cloth background stamp on patterned paper and then colored in the unembossed areas with distress inks. The sentiment is a great one from Simon Says Stamp. Love the font! Finally, the ribbon is my new favourite from May arts: faux linen. It has a delicate look to it like silk but has much more hold.

Simon Says Stamp May 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop (& GIVEAWAY)
Hi everyone!
Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp May 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop!
It's finally starting to feel like Spring around here! Yay! What better way to officially welcome the start of the season than with a blog hop featuring the amazing May card kit: May Flowers.
The Simon Says Stamp monthly card kits are always such an incredible value! They sell for $24.95 if you buy them individually. With a subscription they are only $19.95 plus S&H/ month! This is a great saving on an already great price and ensures that you won't miss out! (The last 2 months have sold out).
Here's a look at this month's kit with it's fabulous Best Mom Ever stamp set, gorgeous embossed/die cut card front, yummy papers, fun chipboard hearts, and so much more! I love the muted pinks, greens, and browns in this month's kit. This kit is an obvious one for Mother's Day but also works perfectly for dads, weddings, anniversaries, etc.
Here are two cards I made for the hop using the same sketch. One is for Mother's Day...
...and one for Father's Day...
Here's my full supply list:
Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $50.00 gift certificate to one lucky commenter on EVERY blog in the hop!!! That's 9 chance's to win and a total of $450.00 worth of prizes!!! How awesome is that!?! (Thanks, Heidi!) :)
Just leaves a comment on each of the blog hop posts as you hop along to be entered in the random drawing. The giveaway will stay open until Thursday April 25/13 at 11:59 EST and the winners will be announced on the Simon Says Stamp blog Friday April 26/13!
The next stop is the fabulous Vicky Papaioannou! If you encounter any broken links on the hop, you can back to the Simon Says Stamp blog for a full list of participants.
Just a reminder that I'm also giving away a May card kit on my blog! I'll randomly pick a winner from this, this, this, or today's post. I'll announce the winner Monday April 22/13.
Thank so much for stopping by!

This week's challenge is to make a travel or cityscape related project.
Here's my travel related card that would be great to give to someone who's about to go on a big trip...
Hero Arts has a number of stamps and dies that work together like the ticket ones I've used here. I stamped the ticket image on a map before die cutting it and dressing it up.
Here's my full supply list:

Wonderful Things (Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit)
Hi Everyone!
I'm back to share another card using the wonderful new Simon Says Stamp May card kit!
Here's another look at the kit:
For today's card I decided to focus on the chipboard pieces and the pocket that came with the kit. You might notice that the pocket on my card looks different than the one pictured above. There are 2 different pockets and it's a surprise as to which one you get. ;)
Here's my card:
I white heat embossed the sentiment and adhered the vellum to the pink cardstock by adding a little glossy accents under the hearts so the adhesive wouldn't show. I used my Inktense watercolor pencils to color the chipboard hearts. I can't believe how vibrantly they colored even on chipboard! I think the envelop would be great for a gift card or for putting strips of paper in that each share one of of the 'many wonderful thing' you're thankful for. :)
Here are the links to all the products I used for today's card. The 1st eight items include products found in this month's kit:
Just a reminder that that last two kits sold out quickly so if you're wanting to get your hands on this one you might to order it soon!
As always, sweet Heidi, owner of Simon Says Stamp, has given me an extra card kit to give away! Just leave a comment on any of my card kit posts this week for your chance to win! I'll post a winner next week Monday, April 22nd.
Finally, be sure to come back Friday for a little something special. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp May Card Kit: Love
Hi everyone!
I'm back with another card using the wonderful new Simon Says Stamp May card kit!
Here's another look at the kit:
For today's card I decided to focus on one of the beautiful patterned papers, the creamy cardstock, a touch of pink, and the vellum. I paired these with a few Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Dies. Here's today's card:
First I cut my patterned paper to size and die cut the larger of the two wide hearts. I then adhered the negative space to my card front and cut the smaller of the two hearts out of the center to create the cream colored frame. I cut another large heart out of the vellum and adhered it to the back of the card front to create a frosty looking window. I added the die cut 'love' sentiment and some mini die cut hearts to finish things off.
Here are the links to all the products I used for today's card. The 1st five items include products found in this month's kit and the three dies used are Simon Says Stamp Exclusives:

Simon Says Stamp May 2013 Card Kit: May Flowers
Have you seen it?!?! The new Simon Says Stamp card kit for May has *just* been revealed! Whoo hoo! It's called May Flowers and although the stamp set "Best Mom Ever" is geared towards Mother's Day, there is SO much in this kit that also works well for dads, anniversaries, thank yous, and so much more. The colors in this month's kit are fabulous too! Wonderful muted pinks, greens, and browns. I've been having a ton of fun playing with it and could not wait to start sharing the projects I've been making.
Here's a look at the kit:
Here's the first card I'm sharing:
For this card I focused on the beautiful Fancy Die Cut and Embossed Card Front that comes in the kit. First, I adhered some patterned paper followed by vellum (to soften the look) onto my note card. I then adhered the Fancy Die Cut and Embossed Card Front on top. I heat embossed the large flower on Neenah white cardstock and used my finger to rub some of the Petal Pink Liquid Pearls all over it. Once dried, I added some leaves that were heat embossed on some of the patterned paper from the kit. I finished things off by adding more liquid pearls to the centers of all the little embossed flowers.
Here are the links to all the products I used (the 1st 8 links are to items included in the kit):
If you're not a Simon Says Stamp card kit subscriber and you're thinking you might want to try this one out don't hesitate! The last two months' card kits sold out rather quickly!
Here's a link to Card Kit of the Month Questions and Answers in case you're wondering how it all works.
I'll be sharing more projects using the Simon Says Stamp May card kit throughout the week. As always, sweet Heidi, owner of Simon Says Stamp, has given me an extra card kit to give away! Yay! Just leave a comment on any of my card kit posts this week (I'm thinking there will be 4) for your chance to win! I'll post a winner next week Monday, April 22nd.

One More Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit Share and 2 Giveaway Winners Announced
- Hi everyone,

- While there I made another card using the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit.
- Here it is:
- This is a pretty straight forward card. What you might not notice is that I die cut the hearts from the washi tape (first adhering it to white cardstock). What I'm sure you are noticing is that I can't get enough of these fun envelopes! :)
- Supplies:
- Unfortunately the last two Card Kits have sold out. If you don't want to miss out be sure to sign up for a subscription! ;) I thought I'd also link to the past card kits that are still available. Lots of fun products in these!
- Now to announce a couple of winners.

Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit - Day 3 (& GIVEAWAY)!
Hi everyone!
Welcome back for my third card kit post using the Simon Says Stamp April 2013 Card Kit (Everyday Happy).
For today's card I focused on using one of the SEI chalkboard pieces that came with the kit:
Some tips:
* Don't try to heat emboss on these chalkboard pieces. They will warp. (Ask me how I know). ;)
* Also, the surface is slick and so you'll want to use a Staz-on type ink instead of pigment or dye ink...or you can use chalk! (That's what they're made for after all). :)
Supplies used:
Unfortunately this month's kit has already sold out BUT if you comment on any of my 3 April card kit posts (Tuesday, Thursday, and today) by midnight EST on Monday April 8th you could still win one! :) I'll be back next Tuesday, April 9th with a final card to share using the card kit and a card kit winner to announce. :) Big thanks to sweet Heidi, owner of SimonSaysStamp.com. for providing these giveaways each month.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit - day 2 (& GIVEAWAY)
Welcome back for my second card kit post using the Simon Says Stamp April 2013 Card Kit (Everyday Happy).
I've been having so much fun with this kit! I'm loving the graphic shapes found in the Happy Everyday stamp set that comes with this month's kit. They pair so well with the bold colors included this month.
Here's today's card:
The bottom of the card has 2 rows of washi tape. The pattern matches up really well! I also had fun playing with the geometric borders. :) I used 2 different sentiment stamps from the set to create my greeting and as you can see I just had to use another of the envelopes (this time one of the small ones). I added a couple of the enamel stars and the card is done. :)

Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit! (& GIVEAWAY)
Hi everyone!
Welcome back! Today I'm sharing a card made using the Simon Says Stamp April 2013 Card Kit (Everyday Happy).
This month's kit is FABULOUS! I LOVE the blue/yellow/grey color combination! The stamp set ROCKS! The envelopes are so fun!
I ran the the envelop through my die cut machine with a Simon Says Stamp heart (linked below) and it only cut through the one side of the envelop. I popped the heart out and replaced it with the same one in yellow.
**Note: Be sure to only run the bottom through the machine so you don't damage the envelope's eyelets like I sort of did. ;) **
