Happiest of Birthdays & GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone,

I'm still waiting for my Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit to arrive. I'm not sure what happened to it or if it will show up at all. Stick with me to the end of this post. I'm going to do my Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit giveaway today regardless. :)

Unfortunately I've also had a bad case of "the Februarys" and feel like I've been treading water all month. Some of my commitments will be ending in the next few weeks and I'm hoping that will help. Anyways, I thought I'd pop in and share a summery floral card as I watch it snowing outside.

I stamped a piece of Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock with Cotton Candy Ink using their Deco Diamonds Background Stamp. I matted this with some of Simon's Black Cardstock and added it to a notecard made from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. I stamped the floral images from Simon's Sketched Flowers Stamp Set with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and coloured them with Copic Markers. I fussy cut them with Fiskar's Micro Tip Scissors. After adding my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink I adhered the flowers, popping up the blue flower with foam tape. I finished the card off with some Nuvo Drops.

Simon Says Stamp Banner Ombre Card & new SSS February Card Kit Winner

Hi everyone!

A couple of weeks ago I shared this card featuring one of the Simon Says Stamp Nested Banner Dies.

Later I decided I wanted to use the same design to make an ombre card and this is what I came up with:

I used the smallest of the slanted banner dies and die cut a bunch of green cardstock in various shades, along with some white cardstock. I then created my background starting with the darkest green at the top and slowly fading into the lighter colours as I worked my way down. I diecut Simon's Big Day Die three times from Simon's Black Cardstock, stacked them to add dimension, and adhered the sentiment to my card. I finshed the card of with some stars from Simon's Holiday Shapes.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out and would love to make a card set using this design as it's a great way to use up some of those scraps.

SSS Hibiscus at Home Card

Hi everyone!

I thought I'd pop in while we're exeriencing freezing rain to share a Summery card. If you've been lucky enough to escape the (at times) nasty winter weather and have someone taking care of things at home while you' re gone, this is the card for you!...or them. You know what I mean, ;)

I diecut Simon's Hibiscus Frame Die from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock and again from various scraps of cardstock. I then pieced everything together on a notecard made from Neenah White Cardstock, using an adhesive sheet in between it and the diecut pieces. I stamped a sentiment from Simon's Vacation Time Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and finished the card off with some sequins from Lucy's Cards.
