What can I say? August's card kit ROCKS! Bold colors, fabulous stamps, yummy papers, fun flair, a burlap flower, twine...and something brand new that excites me most of all ---> a STENCIL!!! I have some fun stuff planned for this baby. ;) I'm gonna try and use it in different ways for all of my Card Kit cards this month.
For my first card, I used the wonderful new Simon Says Stamp stencil along with my Big Shot and embossing mats to dry emboss the kraft panel:

***ETA: I was asked what sandwich I used to emboss the stencil. I had my multi-purpose platform set for TAB 1. The I had cutting mat, stencil, cardstock, both embossing mats, and then the second cutting mat.***
...and on my second card I traced the stencil pattern with a black waterproof marker to cover the entire card front, then colored in the design with Inktense watercolor pencils:

Fabulous use of the stencil!! I love both cards, but since I'm a HUGE fan of Inktense pencils, I'd have to say that the second card is my favorite.
Really like the vividness of the watercolor pencils for the stencil design-the card is very vibrant.

both cards are excellent, on the first I love the little hearts and on the second I like how bright the watercoloring is on the kraft. NICE!!!!! This kit has officially been added to my must-haves!

I love how you embossed with the stencil and added little pops of color with the heat embossed hearts to match the colors in the patterned paper. What a tremendous amount of work, coloring all of those spaces from the stencil on the second card.
