SSS Friendly Frolic Release

Hi everyone!

Simon Says Stamp has released their Friendly Frolic Collection and it is FABULOUS!

Here's what's included in the new release, stamps, die, sequins, and some dies to match previously released stamp sets:

I've already placed my order and it includes a number of the adorable new picture book creatures. While I wait for those to arrive, Simon Says Stamp did send me a few goodies to play with and I've been busy enjoying the Sketch Lotus Flowers Stamps and coordinating dies.

For my first cards I clear heat embossed the images and sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black Ink on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper. I then painted around the flowers with Daniel Smith Watercolors (listed in the supply list below) and added some Simon Says Stamp Moonshine Confetti to finish things off.

For these next cards I also kept the flowers white. I stamped them on Neenah White Cardstock and diecut them with the coordinating die. I used patterned paper for the background and a strip of solid coloured cardstock for my sentiments. The sentiment strip and flowers were adhered with foam tape to help the image pop. I finished these cards off with some older embellishments from Hero Arts.

Simon Says Stamp Four Seasons & August Card Kit Winner

Hi everyone,

I'm popping by to share a card featuring goodies from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Sunshine Release and announce the winner of the Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit.

For today's card I diecut Simon's Four Seasons Dies a number of times from Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock and adhered the pieces to a notecard created from the same cardstock for a tone on tone background. I then die cut Simon's Stitched Window Frame from Neenah White Cardstock. I stamped each of the window pane pieces numerous times with a different stamp from the Four Seasons Sayings Stamp Set and used an ink blending tool with the same ink colours (listed in the supply list) to fill in the backgrounds. I adhered the window to the notecard with fun foam in between to add some dimension. The sentiment from the Four Seasons Sayings Stamp Set was white heat embossed on Simon's Vellum and the sequins are Little Things by Lucy.

SSS August Card Kit: With Love & GIVEAWAY!

Hi everyone!

I'm back to share a final card featuring the lovely Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit! 

Here's today's card:

I used the Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy Cardstock for my card base and also die cut a piece with Simon's Debra Background Die to create a tone on tone background. I die cut a piece of the BoBunny Early Bird Patterned Paper with one of Simon's Nested Circles Dies and adhered it with foam tape. I white heat embossed the 'with love' sentiment from the Mandy's Flowers Stamp Set and ink blended Simon's Audrey Blue Dye Ink over top. I finished the card off with some of the Doodlebug Tiny Hearts Sprinkles as butterfly bodies and one behind my sentiment.

I'm back to share another card featuring the beautiful new Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit!

I stamped the gorgeous floral image from Simon's new Mandy's Flower Stamp Set onto a piece of the BoBunny Early Bird 6x6 Papers and coloured it with Prismacolor Pencils. I then used my Craft Pick to make little holes for me to thread the May Arts Natural Twine through so I could tie it around the jar. I adhered this stamped panel, some Tonic Powder Blue Lace Luxury Embossed Paper, and a thin strip of BoBunny Early Bird Paper to a notecard made from Simon's 120 lb White Cardstock. I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Mandy's Flower Stamp Set onto to back side of one of the patterned papers and added Black Soot Distress Ink with an Ink Blending Tool before adhering it to my card.

Here's the card I'm sharing today featuring BOTH of the gorgeous stamp sets found in the August Card Kit:

I heat embossed the beautiful Modern Rose Blooms Background Stamp with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder on Simon's 120 lb White Cardstock. I stamped the floral frame and sentiment from Mandy's Flowers Stamp Set onto the back of one of the patterned papers from the kit I knew I wouldn't be using with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. I coloured this with Copic Markers, cut it out, and adhered it to my card front with foam tape. I finished the card off with some of the Tonic Bubblegum Blush Gloss Nuvo Drops.

SSS Layered Flaps Card

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!

I'm back after a hot week of church Family Camp in Michigan. We had a great speaker, the kids had fun fishing and swimmming, and I managed to get a little crafting in too. 

Today I'm sharing an interative card featuring the fun new Simon Says Stamp Perforated Flaps Dies and Playful Messages Stamps along with Simon's Center Cut Heart Background Stamp.

I stamped Simon's Cotton Candy Cardstock with their Center Cut Heart Stamp using their Rosie Cheeks Dye Ink before diecutting it with the largest of the Perforated Flaps Dies. I stamped the center heart on Neenah White Cardstock with MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid Ink, coloured it with Copics, cut it out, and adhered it in place with foam tape.

The second layer features Bazzill's Cotton Candy Cardstock which was diecut with the second largest Perforated Flaps Die. The sentiment from Simon's Playful Messages and hearts from the Cute Snowflakes Stamp Set were white heat embossed.

For the third layer I die cut Bazzill's Candy Hearts Cardstock with the smallest Perforated Flaps Die. I stamped the Center Cut Heart Stamp on Neenah White Cardstock, colouring and cutting out some of the smaller hearts to use on this final flap.I also added a few heat embossed hearts.

Underneath the final flap is a piece of Simon's Schoolhouse Red Cardstock with another white heat embossed sentiment from the Playful Messages Stamp Set and hearts from the Cute Snowflakes Set.

I found it helpful to use a craft knife to go over all the perforated areas before assembling the layers. This made it easier to open each flap without tearing the cardstock.

This was such a fun card to make! I can see myself recreating it with a gift card, cash, and confetti for a birthday. In fact, my second son's birthday is later this week and all he's asking for is money, lol. This might be just be a fun way to present it!

SSS Watercolor Florals

Hi everyone!

I'm popping by today to share a card made with Simon Says Stamp's gorgeous Strangeness Stamp Set.

Here it is:

For this card I white heat embossed the beautiful floral image on Distress Watercolor Cardstock before painting it with Daniel Smith Watercolors. Once dried I diecut the panel with one of Simon's Wonky Rectangle Dies, stamped the 'Congrats!', and white heat embossed the 'on this special day'. I finished it off with some of Lucy's Cards Sequins.
