Wishing Everyone a Very Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! It's so easy for me to caught up in the busyness of the season and forget to really focus on what Christmas is truly about, the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I wanted to share a couple of my favourite Christmas songs... you know, the kind that make me tear up. ;) Amy Grant's 'Breath of Heaven' ALWAYS gets me....

...as does 'Ere zij God', the dutch version of 'Glory to God'. We use to sing this (in dutch) at church when I was growing up and in recent years when visiting my parents' church. There are very few dutch people at the church we go to now and I really do miss singing this...

Thanks for stopping by today and, again, Merry Christmas!

Sarah I listened and watched the second video first because I have not heard of it before. Though I am not dutch, I could sense that the song itself was very holy and so meaningful. I have to say that before the song was over I was in tears. The imagery and the song itself was just beautiful. I so love the voices of the singers in this song. And the first song I have on cd, but never seen it in conjuction with the Natvity movie. So bye the time I saw this one I was really in tears. Some would think that it would be silly to cry, but when a God could love us this much to send someone in our place, salvations true story, I become emotional. THanks so much for the reminder of a Loving God. May God bless you and your family this year Sarah with all that is good, and lovely. Hugs.
