Hi everyone,
It's been way too long since I've participated in one of the Hero Arts challenges and Shari's Velveteen technique article was just the thing to get me moving again. I decided to put a digital twist on this technique. I made a mask created with a Hero Arts/Silhouette shape, put the mask over some white cardstock, and inked directly with a Frost White ink pad. I removed the mask and let the ink dry before stamping the hello/bird and friend images over top.
Here's the card:
Here's the mask followed by a close up of the card:

So pretty! Very cool idea to use the Silhouette mask.
Great technique Sarah! You've opened up so many more possibilities for velveteen stamping. Your card is amazing by the way!
Gorgeous! Love the soft colors and subtle background from the Velveteen stamping (I have yet to try that out myself!!).
What a lovely card Sarah! Love what you did here!
Gorgeous card!
I've tried this technique and I just can't get it to look quite right. I think it is my ink, though.
Tried this technique once and didn't like it! Yours is so nicely done - I love the results! Guess I'll have to practice a few more times.
