World Card Making Day 2012 Winner Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the World Card Making Day 2012 Winner Blog Hop!

The winners of last year's Paper Crafts World Card Making Contest are hopping along to celebrate World Card Making Day (one day early). ;) We're all making cards in the categories in which we won. I won in the LOVE category. :) When I found out which of my cards won I was shocked. It was my least favorite of all the cards I sent in, was a previous Paper Crafts call reject, and I almost didn't include it in my package! When I asked Susan R. Opel why they chose it she said that it was trendy (washi tape and subway art), used non-traditional colors, and would make a good masculine card. All that to say don't be afraid to send in cards you don't think are good enough or that you think might be too outside the box. :)

Here's my card for today:

Here's the full list of the hop participants:

       1.  Agata Pfister
 2.   Amber Kroening
 4.   Ashley Marcu
 5.   Carolynn Wilson
 6.   Chunyuan Wu
 7.   Emily Leiphart
 8.   Heather Hoffman
 9.   Jamie Greene
17.  Pamela Ho
      20.  Tarynne Wise

Your next stop on the hop is Stasia Sloma's blog! Also be sure to stop at the Paper Crafts Connection blog for a fun giveaway! ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Super cute card! Loved hearing that your winning card was a previous submission call reject. I actully was wondering if their was any sense in mailing in these types of cards. ;)

I know what you mean about reject cards. Sometimes I toss those in a box and come back later with new eyes and see how wonderful they really turned out. Fabulous card. TFS

Sarah - your cards designs are awesome! I love your Merry & Brigh Snowflake Card in the latest issue of Paper Crafts mag. It gave me inspiration for something I'm going to do with my crocheted snowflakes. I'll be back to post when I complete the project. Thank you!
