...the reason it's been so quiet around here the past month... :)

Hi everyone!!!

Long time no see! It's been quiet around here the past month. I just got back Tuesday night from a 4 week vacation to western Canada with my family. If you're interested in seeing some what we saw I've got a picture heavy post here. If you aren't interested I won't be offended but I will let you know that I've already made a couple of cards using the new Simon Says Stamp August 2014 Card Kit and I hope to share those here tomorrow (along with a giveaway). :)

I'll try and be brief in my descriptions. ;)

We flew out of London, Ontario on June 17th and transferred planes in Winnipeg. Manitoba.

We then flew to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where we spent a few days with my brother-in-law and his wife. From there we drove to Edmonton, Alberta where we took in the water park at West Edmonton Mall and spent a day at Fort Edmonton.

In Calgary we walked around Nose Hill Park...

...and saw where some of the Calgary Olympics took place.

We went to Drumheller and the big dinosaur museum there...

...met some friendly prairie dogs...

...and got eaten by a dinosaur. ;)

After spending some time with my husband's cousin and her family in Medicine Hat we made our way towards the mountains...

We spent a few days in Banff...

We drove through the ice fields and saw the Columbia Glacier...

...and some wildlife.

We found a sea monster...

...and took a ferry to Vancouver Island.

In Vancouver we spent time on Granville Island, rode around Stanley Park, and climbed Grouse Mountain (no small job)...

We did some boating...

..and found some harbour seals.

We went to the Vancouver Museum...

...and spent some time watching airplanes land and take off.

Finally, on Saturday July 12th we celebrated my brother and his beautiful wife's wedding day...

...as well as our second son's 10th birthday on the 13th.

On the 14th we went to Seattle to see the Boeing plant and museum and flew back home on the 15th. We made some great memories and I hope this is a trip that our kids will remember forever.

Thanks so much for hanging in there and walking down memory lane with me. I haven't even looked at the pictures on our second camera yet but promise not to post any of those. :)

I hope to see you back here tomorrow for my Simon Says Stamp August 2014 Card Kit post.

Sarah

Thank you for sharing! Love to see your wonderful family. And love to see some places on earth I never was, and probably I never ever will visit in my life. I am always gratefull for some peeks on the world.

Yes, and it seems to me you had a wonderful time, and also a great time for the children.

Wow! Sounds like a ton of fun! Banff is on my bucket list...I was just looking at places to stay there b/c I'd love to go next summer. We live in WA state (close to Portland, OR) so it's not that far for us to go... :) Did you go to that long suspension bridge in Vancouver? We did that a few years ago and had a lot of fun there, too.

Welcome home!
