You Are Loved (SSS February 2015 Card Kit and Giveaway)!

I'm back today to share another card I made using the gorgeous Simon Says Stamp February 2015 Card Kit.


Once again, this month's kit is another fabulous one revolving around another great product for doing techniques:Faber-Castell's Gelatos! Paired with Crate Paper's gorgeous "Kiss Kiss" papers and rub ons, Ranger Sticky Back Canvas, Tim Holtz watercolor Paper, and Simon Says Stamp's Clear Embossing Powder, this kit is perfect for trying all sorts of techniques! The kit also includes a cute Maya Road Mason Jar Clip, paint brush, and some delicious colors of Simon Says Stamp Cardstock. I'm loving that with the papers in this month's kit you can create cards that are either soft or bold in color.

Here's today's card:

For this card, I wanted to incorporate all the different types of  papers that came in the kit. I used Simon's Lipstick red for my card base, topped it with a piece of Sticky Back Canvas, followed by a piece of the vintage paper die cut using Simon's Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then rubbed some of the Gelatos onto the vintage paper. I die cut the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper with one of Simon's Large Tag Dies. I painted the bottom of it with a mixture of Gold Gelatos and water before spritzing the entire tag with the same mixture. Once dried, I added the sentiment and heart rub ons and painted in the hearts with the Gelatos/water mixture. I backed the tag with another one cut from Simon's Dark Chocolate cardstock and adhered it to the card with foam adhesive.
