Lilla Rose Hair Clip Inspired Card (& GIVEAWAY)!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm stopping by today to share some info about a great new-to-me hair clip, a card I made inspired by the one I received, and a giveaway!

I was contacted by Lizzie Chang, an Independent Lilla Rose Stylist, about trying out one of their Flexi Clips. I've tried similar styles of clips in the past and they have always been loose and slipped out of my thin curly hair. I was excited to see if this one would be different and I'm happy to say that it is! With sizes ranging from extra small to extra large, Flexi Clips work well with all hair types and lengths.

The clip I have is called Sable and it has beautiful black beads set with black nickel. I wanted something classic I could wear with lots of different clothes but they also make clips in all sorts of wonderful colours.

When going out I usually wear my hair in a partial ponytail. I wasn't 100% sure which size to order (even after watching their sizing video) and Lizzie was more than helpful with this.

Also, even though I live in Canada the clip arrived from California about a week after I ordered it!

Here it is in action (thanks to my kids for taking these pictures for me):

I wore the clip to church and well into the afternoon without it budging one bit. Yay!

I took it out before going into the pool since I wasn't sure what the chemicals would do to it. Afterwards I thought I'd see if it would work with my hair all up in a messy bun and since my hair is so thin I'm able to wear it up with the clip even though it's an extra small!

Like I said at the beginning of my post, I made a card inspired by the Lilla Rose Flexi Clip Lizzie sent me.

Here it is:

Even though I silver heat embossed the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's You Matter Stamp Set and the images from Simon's Henna Patterns Stamp Set (and used silver sequins) it looks like gold to me in the first picture. I'm guessing it's from my camera flash? Anyways, I chose to stamp these images since they reminded me of the patterns and shapes in my Sable Flexi Clip

As an Independent Lilla Rose Stylist, Lizzie has generously offered for me to give away a Flexi Clip (one clip up to a $16 value, for residents of the US and Canada, Flexi of the month excluded)! This giveaway is open to readers who are not already registered as Lilla Rose Customers in order to spread the Lilla Rose love and give someone the chance to try a Flexi Clip who has not yet had the opportunity.

I like the Celtic knot. These seem like a great idea. I used to wear the leather kind back in my hippie days 50 years ago, but then my hair got too thin to fit in them. It's nice to have sizes to choose from.

Gorgeous card, Sarah!
My hair is sooo fine, that almost everything falls out, even a bobby pin will slide out unless I use two to make an 'x' with them. lol This clip looks amazing and now has me curious. ;) And so many styles to choose from!...I'm loving that 'Freyja' clip!
Thanks for sharing! :)
