Simon Says Stamp Debra Background

Hi everyone, 

I'm popping by to share a set of cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp Debra Background Die. I thought it'd be fun to make a few monochromatic cards with this die pairing the diecuts with lighter coloured backgrounds. The Debra Die., with all its detail. really did all the work for me. I just finished the cards off with sentiment strips and a few wooden veneer pieces.

SSS Alcohol Ink Snowflakes & November Card Kit Winner

Hi everyone!

I'm popping by to share a card made with Simon's fabulous new Outline Snowflakes Background Stamp which came out as part of their Fun and Festive Release and announce the winner of the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit.

For today's card I created my background with Stream Alcohol Ink, Snow Cap Mixative, and Blending Solution on Yupo Paper, using a Distress Marker Spritzer Tool to move the ink around. Once dry I white heat embossed Simon's Outline Snowflakes Background over top. I added stripes of matching Simon Says Stamp Glitter Paper to the top and bottom of the panel and adhered it to a Hero Arts Notecard. The sentiment from Simon's Critter Sweaters Stamp Set was stamped on a piece of cardstock cut using one of Simon's Sentiment Labels Dies. I finished the card off with some Studio Katia Iridescent Bubbles.

SSS November Card Kit: Sending Hugs & Giveaway

Hi everyone!

I'm back to share a final card featuring the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit.

For today's card I wanted to include a message from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers...but I'm not snarky, lol. (Words of encouragement is actually my love language so I'm sensitive to words). My solution was to modify one of the stickers. I can't remember what the rest of the message I used was but I think it was something like "Just not me." There are a couple of greeting in the sticker booklet that can be modified to remove the snark and even individual words could be cut out and rearranged to create your own message. (I'll have to try that!) Anyways, here's my clean and simple card for today. I think the making of it is pretty self-explanitory. :)

SSS November Card Kit: Appreciate You & Giveaway

I'm back to share another card featuring the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit.

For today's card I decided to use a number of the leaf images from the Simon Says Stamp Thanks & Leaves Stamp Set to create a wreathe on a notecard made from Simon's Ivory Cardstock. I embellished the wreathe with Simon's Bronze Sequins and two of the Idea-ology Butterflies Adornments. The Green Leaf Cardstock at the bottom was stamped with  leaves using Simon's Green Apple Ink. My sentiment was stamped on a strip of Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock using Simon's Khaki Ink.

Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit: Thanks & Leaves Reveal & Giveaway!

Today is reveal day for the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit: Thanks & Leaves!

This month's kit is about sending thanks (& a bit of snark) and includes Simon's beautiful new Thanks and Leaves Stamp Set with wonderful sentiments and leaf images. Also included is a package of stunning Idea-ology Butterflies, Idea-ology's Snarky Small Talk Stickers, Simon's Bronze Sequins, as well as some tags, envelopes, and cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

Here's the card I made to share today using all the elements found in this month's kit except for the Snarky Small Talk Stickers. I'll show a card in a future blog post using one of these stickers minus the snark. ;)

For this card I adhered some of Simon's Green Leaf and Orange Peel Cardstock to a notecard made from Simon's Ivory Cardstock. I then adhered Simon's 4 Bar Kraft Envelope to the front (faced down) with some of the leaf images stamped on the flap with Simon's Barely Beige Ink. I adhered the tag in place and stamped the sentiment with Simon's Green Leaf Ink.

The butterfly and sequins were adhered with Ranger's Multi-Medium Matte in such a way that the envelope could still be opened to include a gift card, cash, or longer letter then could be written in a card.

SSS Fun & Festive Release & Ombre Christmas Cards

Hi everyone!

Simon Says Stamp has a great new release out today called Fun & Festive which includes lots of great products for making your Christmas cards... plus more!

Here are all the fun new goodies. I think I'm going to have to order Suzy's Snowmen Prints, the Punny Animals Stamps, and figure out what to do about all the Big Picture Animal Dies, lol...

Heidi sent me a few of the new products to play with include the new Critter Sweaters Stamp Set which I used for today's cards:

I didn't realize there was a set of dies that went with this stamp set and so I was really confused by the little face stamps that are part of it, lol. Anyways, in making this card I used washi tape to temporarily adhere the entire stamp set to the door of my MISTI since the stamps were all still new and straight in the packaging. You could also line them up one at a time to get the placement but this was quicker. I inked up just the border stamps with VersaMark and stamped them on Neenah White cardstock before white heat embossing them. I did some Distress Oxide Ink Blending and die cut the panels with one of Simon's Stitched Rectangle Dies. I trimmed the panels between some of the borders, temporarily adhering the pieces to the notecards for placement so I could stamp the sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and clear heat emboss them. I then used fun foam and scoring tape to adhere the panels and give them dimension. Finally, I added some Simon Says Stamp Frozen Fractals Sequins and Lucy's Cards Rainbow Sparkle Jewels to finish the cards off.
