Fruity Cards for Kids
Just a couple of fruity cards for Cards for Kids. I thought it'd be fun to use some Hero Arts/ Silhouette apple shapes and bring them to life with some googly eyes before adding some apple jokes. Hope the kids like them.
(What kind of apple has a short temper? ... A crab apple!)
(How do you make an apple turnover?... Push it down the hill!)
I'm hoping to make some more this week but the kids have VBS and I'll be helping out. We'll see how that goes. :)

Non-stampy Cards
Just a quick post sharing some 'non-stampy' cards I've made this past week. I have LOTS of embellies and scraps from other projects that I'm trying to use up. Here are the results.
I hope everyone's having a wonderful week. Mine's off to a GREAT start. My dear hubby said I could go to Scrapfest!!! Yay! Can't wait to meet some ladies from Hero Arts and the Hero Arts flickr group!

Inspired by Jennifer McGuire
I've been SO inspired by Jennifer McGuire's cards lately and have wanted to out right copy some them. :) I am trying to be a good girl though and use the stamps I already have instead of buying every stamp I see her use. ;) So here are two cards I made inspired by the ultra-talented Jenifer McGuire. This card:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying cool.

Travel Cup
I bought my hubby a new Starbucks Travel Cup as part of his Father's Day present (one of the ones where you can insert your own pictures) and wanted his input as what pictures of the kids he wanted me to include. Right away he said he wanted pics of them flying with him (he has his private pilot's license). I thought that was a great idea and then the cup just sat there until Hero Arts announced their July contest theme: travel, food, and bookmaking. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to hit 2 out of 3 and get the cup done too. :)
Tip: I was having a really hard time inserting the finished page into the travel cup with all the cut outs and pics. I ended up putting the insert that came with it over my design to insert it and removed the insert after. That worked really well for me. :)

Cards for Kids
Boy, I've been missing in action for a bit. First my mojo left me for a few weeks and then this past week the kids and I were at my parents so the kids could go to VBS at the church my Dad use to be the minister of. A couple days before we left my mojo finally returned and I got a few things made, including some cards for Jennifer McGuire's Cards for Kids card drive. I LOVE the Silhouette's Chubby Animal print and cut shapes and used a number of them with some Hero Arts background stamps and various patterned papers. Found some animal jokes that my son has and was go to go. :)
Thanks for popping by! Will share more in the next few days. :)
