SSS Mod Circle Distress Oxide Cards

Hi everyone,

I'm popping by to share a couple of masculine birthday cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp Mod Circle Frame Die along with Distress Oxide Inks. These inks sure are fun to play with!

I pressed the ink pads directly onto my craft sheet, spritz them with water, and ran some Cream Cardstock through it. I did this multiple times to build up layers, heat setting each layer in between. For the stars on the cards, I ran a piece of the Cream Cardstock through the little bit of ink that was left on my craft sheet for a lighter and more subtle result. Once dry, I ran the first panel through my Big Shot with the Simon Says Stamp Mod Circle Frame Die (and also cut a piece of chocolate-coloured cardstock with the same die). I then pieced the card fronts on notecards made from  Neenah 110 lb White Cardstock. The stars were cut using Simon's Large Holiday Shapes and the sentiment is from Simon's Sweet Cakes Stamps. Finally, I added some sparkle with Tsukineko Large Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

Thanks for stopping by!
Sarah

This is the best demonstration of the oxide inks I've seen. They have now been moved from my "maybe" list to "want it soon" list. Both are strikingly beautiful, subtle & very artistic.
