The Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit: Sea Treasure arrived a couple of days ago and I've been crafting up a storm! My first thought was that it'd be fun to use all 3 of the sweet mermaids on one card so I decided to make a card that would fit in a business-sized envelope (4" x 8.5").
I cut a piece of the Tonic Deep Sea Dive Embossed Paper to fit my card front and a piece of Neenah White Cardstock slightly smaller to do my stamping on. I stamped the 3 mermaids from Simon's fun new Beautiful Mermaids Stamp Set, stamped them again on Simon's masking paper, cut the masking paper images out, and placed them on the original mermaids. I then ink blended the Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Inks over the masked images. I added some Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz by removing the lid and tapping the tube on my finger over top the cardstock. I also added a few taps of white acrylic paint with a small paint brush. I removed the masks and coloured the mermaids with Copic Markers. I stamped a number of the other images on white cardstock, coloured them with Copics, cut them out, and adhered them to the card front. This would have been so much quicker and easier if I'd had the coordinating Beautiful Mermaids Dies but I'm still happy with how it turned out. Once these were adhered, I stamped some bubbles and covered them with Glossy Accents. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the mermaids' tails, sea shell tops, and hair accessories where covered with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Markers. I added a few of Simon's Treasure Chest Sequins in and around the treasure chest. Finally, the sentiment was white heat embossed on Simon's Black Cardstock. This was a fun card to make and my daughter has already claimed it for a friend's upcoming birthday. :)

Oh, this is an awesome card! I love all that amazing coloring and these cute little mermaids. The turtle and fish are the cutest.
